Raspberry Pi Camera Modules To Launch In April

Last month the Raspberry PI foundation announced that they would be launching a new Raspberry Pi camera modules, and now they have released some more details about this camera accessory for the Raspberry Pi.

The Raspberry PI foundation has said that they have sent of the first camera boards for the Raspberry Pi camera modules to be manufactured and that they are expecting to start selling these new Raspberry Pi camera modules some time in April.

We’ve sent the first camera boards to production, and we’re expecting to be able to start selling them some time in April. And we’ve now got several pre-production cameras in the office that we’re testing and tweaking and tuning so the software will be absolutely tickety-boo when you come to buy one.

They are also giving away 10 Raspberry Pi camera modules as they are looking for people to test them out, and see how these new camera modules perform, you can find out more information over at the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
